Bowel Cancer Screening
If you are aged 60-74, every 2 years you will receive a free NHS test kit in the post that can detect the invisible, early signs of bowel cancer.
The test is easier than you think and can save lives.
If you have not received a kit or have any questions call 0808 40 40 to speak with a nurse.
If you have any symptoms that you are worried about- book to see your GP today.
If you are aged 50 or over it is strongly recommended that you take advantage of the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme which offers three-yearly mammography. This is an X-ray procedure which can detect breast changes at a very early stage.
For more information about the Breast Screening Programme ask your doctor.
If you are aged under 50 and have any cause for concern tell your doctor.
NHS Health Checks are now offered to patients aged between 45 and 74 once every 5 years. This check is to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, kidney disease or diabetes.
By taking early action you can improve your health and prevent the onset of these conditions.
